On June 4, 2017 in the Venice lagoon you can attend the Vogalonga, a non-competitive racewhere all types of boat can be registered. A beautiful event in which all Venetians and their families go to the lagoon with their boat: Mascarete, Pupparini, gondolas, Tope, Sandoli, Caorline. In the last years, boats from all over the Veneto region have been participating and arriving to race more than 1500 row-boats.
The departure is in S. Marco Basin with direction Sant’Elena from where you can reach Le Vignole, Sant’Erasmo and San Francesco del Deserto. Then you go towards Burano, Mazzorbo and you return to Venice in Cannaregio. From here you will arrive again in the Grand Canal for the classic parade under the Rialto Bridge and towards the arrival to Salute in Punta della Dogana.
